We are very pleased to announce that members of the Christ the King congregation, which worships at St. Mary’s on Sunday afternoons, will be joining us to help organize and run our yard sale on September 17th. Not only will this provide an opportunity for our two parishes to get to know one another and share in our outreach ministry, but it increases our likelihood of reaching our ambitious fundraising goals.
Also, Kathryn Quirk has volunteered to manage the marketing and promotion of the yard sale. She brings much enthusiasm, a strong public relations and marketing background and her experience in managing successful block sales while living in Boston.
To get things rolling, WE ARE HOSTING AN ORGANIZATIONAL MEETING NEXT TUESDAY, AUGUST 9 at 7:30 PM in the CHAPTER ROOM. Please plan on attending this one-hour meeting. If you are unable, please indicate your interest in helping with various aspects of this event on sign-up sheets posted in the hallway of the parish hall.
Also, please continue to scour your houses for saleable items. We are particularly looking for household items, children’s clothing and toys, sporting equipment and portable furniture. Items can be left in the parish hallway or on the stage, or contact Tim Green with any questions or to arrange for pick up.
