Good News: May 4, 2010

The Good News from May 4, 2010 is now available for download:

This issue of The Good News presents two articles, each based on a recent talk or sermon given by a prominent Episcopalian. The first article is adapted from a sermon by Ray Suarez, of the PBS Newshour, delivered at the annual clergy conference of the Diocese of Massachusetts. Margaret Schwarzer’s sermon on the Fifth Sunday of Easter creates a context for Suarez’s commentary.

The second article is adapted from a speech given by The Very Reverend Ward Ewing, The 12th Dean of The General Theological Seminary and Professor of Pastoral Theology. It was given to the General Service Board of Alcoholics Anonymous in New York, which Reverend Ewing chairs. Both articles address the need for systemic inclusivity and acceptance of others.
