Yarn Donations Needed for Project at Framingham Women’s Prison

iabodeely

From Greta Cullison:

A friend of mine has volunteered to teach crocheting to the inmates at Framingham Women’s Prison. She is looking for donations of yarn/needles to facilitate her project. If anyone has extra yarn they’d like to donate, please call Greta Cullison at 617-332-1182. I’ll be happy to pick it up. Thanks!

Here is a description of the program: Volunteer Facilitated Crocheting Program: South Middlesex Correctional Center (Framingham). The program at this minimum security omen facility continues to be hugely successful and meaningful. The program teaches how to crochet blankets, scarves, hats, and mittens and sweaters; additionally it provides offenders with stress relief and skills to make their own items. In need of donations of yarn to continue to make the program widely accessible to offenders.
