This Sunday the Church begins a new season as we celebrate the Feast of Pentecost. Pentecost is the day in the church calendar when the Holy Spirit descends ‘as tongues of fire’ on the disciples enabling them to spread the Gospel to the far reaches of the earth.
This year St. Mary’s, we will mark this birthday of the church with twelve cakes, a church wide cook-out, and a visit by our bishop, the Rt. Rev. M Thomas Shaw, SSJE. This festive day is not one to be missed. Kirsten and the choir will sing special music and will be joined by Ken Laing on trumpet, Bishop Shaw will be preaching and celebrating, and there will be food and fellowship following! We look forward to seeing you all there!
