music
Music reaches us where words cannot; it enriches and enlivens our worship. Though the cornerstone of our music is from the Episcopal tradition, our services include a diverse repertoire of hymns, anthems, and liturgical music.

Kirsten Johnson, our Director of Music, expertly leads the music program with professionalism and care. She holds degrees from St. Olaf College in Minnesota and Yale Divinity School and its Institute of Sacred Music. Saint Mary’s 21-rank pipe organ, built by the Noack Organ Company in 1965, was refurbished in 2002. The sanctuary also holds a Steinway Model C grand piano, rebuilt in 2001, that enhances our music program. The Church’s wooden interior, with high ceilings and box pews, is acoustically ideal for music and speech. If you would like to learn more about our music programs, click here.
