Intergenerational
Eucharist

Saint Mary's Episcopal Church offers multiple Intergenerational Eucharist services a year. Intergenerational Eucharists are designed to welcome all, highlight voices of our youth, and bring together the Saint Mary's community in a meaningful way. The services are often chosen to coincide on or near special events or feast days, such as St. Francis of Assisi, the Epiphany, and All Saints.

Children's Sermon

Each intergenerational eucharist service has both a children's sermon and homily. The children are invited to join Rev. Andrew at the altar before participating in their own educational programming. Everyone rejoins in the sanctuary for the Eucharist.

Junior Choir

The Junior Choir is a staple at our intergenerational eucharist services. They often do an anthem by themselves, and occasionally the Junior and Adult Choirs sing together.

Shorter Eucharistic Prayer

During intergenerational eucharists, children are invited to come behind the altar during communion. We also use a different, shorter eucharistic prayer meant to be more accessible for children.
