ADULT FORUM – SUNDAY, OCTOBER 16 at 11:15 AM “A Balanced View of Climate Change and Energy Depletion” Presented by Allan Klumpp St. Mary’s Parish Hall
Allan Klumpp will give fifteen to twenty minute talk, “A Balanced View of Climate Change and Energy Depletion” followed by an open-ended question and answer session.
Much has changed since his previous presentation: The world’s convention at Copenhagen has been widely publicized as a failure. Unprecedented groups of storms, flooding, and fires have occurred around the world, and responses have included alarm, lack of caring, and declarations that climate change is a hoax.
Descriptions of billion-ton chunks of ice dropping from Greenland’s ice sheet have implied that sea level will soon rise and flood world lowlands.
China has overtaken the U.S. in both good and bad ways, giving both examples to follow, and examples to avoid. Likewise for Japan’s and Germany’s responses to Japan’s Fukushima Daiichi disaster.
In Sunday’s Question and Answer session, everyone can learn from everyone else. A four-sheet handout will be distributed.
