December 24 – Christmas Eve At the 5:00 p.m. service, guest oboist Akane Setiawan and St Mary’s Choir members, tenor Glen Wright, alto Susan Mampre and soprano Anayis Mampre Wright, will provide special music for the Offertory and Communion. The congregation will join in singing many familiar Christmas carols.
The 10:00 p.m. Christmas Eve service will begin with a festive musical prelude at 9:45 p.m. The Adult Choir will sing carols of the season accompanied by harpist Deborah Fabiciewicz. Selections include the traditional Austrian carol Still, Still, Still, a setting of Christina Rossetti’s poem In the Bleak Midwinter by Bob Chilcott, and an arrangement of What Child is This by American composer Paul Lohman.
