Holiday Outreach to Rosie’s Place
Every holiday season Rosie’s Place sees a rise in the number of women in need. They make a special effort to reach out to those women often forgotten… lonely, isolated, and struggling to have their needs met.
St. Mary’s has supported Rosie’s Place efforts for many years. With our help last year, 480 women were given special holiday gifts of a gift card and a toiletry set.
Rosie’s Place has again asked for our help. Their advocates will distribute a $25 gift card and a toiletry gift set to those women who would not ordinarily receive anything during the holiday season when they visit Rosie’s Place for services.
Rosie’s Place is requesting $25 gift cards to Target, Old Navy, Walgreens, Payless, Marshalls, or CVS and toiletry gift sets (full size) of body lotion, body wash, and/or body spray. Your help would be greatly appreciated. Gift cards can be purchased at grocery stores, at CVS, or at Walgreen’s. Gift cards of $10 or $15 to Dunkin’ Donuts or Subway are also welcomed. Please make note of the monetary amount of the gift card somewhere on the card.
Gift cards may be left in the church office and a collection box for toiletries will be placed by the bulletin board. Donations will be delivered to Rosie’s Place on December 12th.
