Rosie’s Place – Toy Drive

Rosie’s Place

2012 Holiday Toy Drive

During the holiday season, Rosie’s Place, a shelter for poor and homeless women, creates a “store” where its guests have the opportunity to “shop” picking out toys for their children including wrapping paper, ribbon, and tape.

Rosie’s Place relies on donations of new toys, gift cards, and wrappings to make this store a possibility and your help would be greatly appreciated. All donated toys should be new and unwrapped. Some toy suggestions are puzzles, multicultural dolls, books of all age groups, new stuffed animals, unisex toys, legos, hair accessories, sports t-shirts, games for all ages, ear buds/headphones, and watches. No war toys, please. Gift Cards ranging in value from $10-$25 to Marshall’s, Old Navy, Target, TJ Maxx, and Bed Bath and Beyond are suggestions. These can be purchased at a grocery store, CVS, or Walgreen’s. Of note, the greatest need is for gift items for boys and girls 15-19 years old.

There will be a donation box by the bulletin board near the Parish Hall. Gift cards can be left in the office. Any questions or concerns can be directed to Jane Sabin at janesabin75@gmail.com. Thank you for helping the children of Rosie’s Place.

PS: Deadline to receive gifts – Dec. 12.
